Head of Young People’s Engagement

Head of Young People’s Engagement (maternity cover)
£24,000 per annum pro rata
The Drum arts centre is a unique centre that is committed to celebrating the diversity, challenges and vibrancy of Black British culture.
We are seeking a dynamic individual to cover maternity leave for 6 months (in the first instance) to deliver the Young People’s Engagement Strategy which is an integral part of The Drum’s business strategy 3 days per week.
Areas of Responsibility would include:
• Management, administration and development of the Young People’s Engagement programme.
• Undertake effective outreach work to recruit and engage young people.
• Fundraise to ensure the development and continuation of the programme.
• Undertake effective liaison with pupils/students and schools/colleges along with funders, sponsors and donors.
You will need to have substantial management and leadership experience in the creative or transferable sector, have a proven track record of working with young people, a successful track record of fundraising including drafting bids/applications and be educated to degree/ NJC level or equivalent.
Applications are welcomed from anyone wishing to take up this opportunity on a freelance basis. Candidate will also need to have a recent (1 year old) CRB check.
